Andiamo St. Clair Shores Lakefront

WHAT WE ORDERED:

  • Calamari Fritti

  • House special 16 oz. New York Strip, medium rare

  • Fettine Di Filletto Di Vitello Con Prosciutto
Paired with:

  • Atwater Brewery's Dirty Blonde Ale

  • Bass Ale
HE SAID: The bread was fresh but the olive oil dipping sauce could use seasoning. The calamari felt like I was chewing on a tire. On the other hand, the veal was really good and the prosciutto was a nice touch. The garlic mashed potatoes were also good. The before dinner pasta sauce tasted like Prego.

SHE SAID: This was the worst steak I've ever had. I ordered it medium rare and it was so tough that it was difficult to chew. The waitress was hardly near our table so when I finally had a chance to complain, she brought over the manager who said he could bring out something else. At that point, my husband was already finished with his meal.

TAKE OUT: Even with the buy one, get one free deal, we'll never eat here again. Sure, the restaurant has a great view of Lake St. Clair but we had to swat three flies away from our table while we were there! The service was subpar and the food did not impress. If you are handicapped, you should also know that they do not have an elevator to take you to the bar upstairs. Instead, the waitstaff will carry you up. This is no joke.
NOTE: We have heard nothing but great things about the other Andiamo locations. This review applies only to the St. Clair Shores Lakefront location.
